Life Might Be Like A Box of Chocolates, But Finding A Set of Kettlebells Is Like Lifting Weights

By Greg Diener

With the world being uncertain, for most Americans they can find it hard to find a job. We never know what direction our life will end up at, certainly as children we don't know where our lives will be when were adults. The famous line from the Academy Award winning movie Forrest Gump rings true for many Americans with life being a box of chocolates when we never know what we are going to get. But you could use kettlebells to describe the hardships most people face in finding a job. Now you might ask what exactly do they have with hunting for a job? You will see in just a but.

Think of your life up to this point as weightlifting, tediously toiling away to get through each day and slowly building up muscle. Lifting weights isn't always fun, but it takes practice, determination, and work ethic. Still, after a while, going through the actions can become repetitive and you could not be seeing the gains you desire. Perhaps you're no longer interested in your chosen major at school or you find yourself stuck in the daily grind at a dead-end job. This is where kettlebells come in.

You could be reading this and still be thinking "what do kettlebells offer for me?" It is clear to see why, these weights have been outstanding for people as you will soon find out. Kettlebells are shaped like a ball with a handle on the top of it. This breaks the kettlebell away from other types of exercise equipment. If you have been looking for a good pick me up, it will give you a new interest in your life.

People don't just desire a job - they want a career path. Really, we would all like to be ready to find exactly what we want to most and get paid for the work we accomplish. But it's not that simple - like a workout program, finding the ideal fit for you could involve trial and error. Moreover, you need to be flexible, motivated, and have the endurance to keep going even when you want to give up. I bet the metaphor is starting to make more sense now.

Whether you think of your being and the search for a career in terms of heart-shaped boxes of chocolate or lifting weights at the gym, it's important to remember that the decision isn't simple for anyone. If we could all be the astronauts, superheroes, and fairy princesses we dreamed of being as kids, we would be. If we could all be satisfied in our first selected career paths, we would be. Some of us our fortunate enough for that to happen, but for others it takes a bit of trial and error. The crucial thing is to find your strengths and what makes you the happiest and stick with it.
